The All Hallows Healthcare Trust have today announced that they will be closing the hospital at Ditchingham and the health and care commissioners [the Great Yarmouth and Waveney Clinical Commissioning Group, the South Norfolk Clinical Commissioning Group and Suffolk and Norfolk County Councils] have confirmed that they are now working to secure the long-term future of the site.

These announcements follow on from the recent confirmation that new providers have been secured for home care and the nursing home and discussions are taking place to finalise the provision of the day care and meals on wheels services.

Peter Aldous MP said:

“All Hallows Hospital has an important role to play in the provision of health and care services to residents in the Bungay and surrounding area. I welcome the commissioners’ confirmation that they are committed to securing the long term future of the site and I shall work with them and the local community to ensure that the hospital reopens as soon as practically possible, providing care in a way that both meets the needs of local people and is sustainable in the long term.”
