Following the Government statement on the state pension age, Peter Aldous questions the Minister about impact assessments on the impact of the equalisation of state pension age on women born in the 1950s.

I shall cut to the chase, Mr Speaker. What impact assessments have the Government carried out to assess the impact of their proposals on women born in the 1950s?

Multiple impact assessments were carried out, in 1995, 2007 and 2011, and obviously these matters were debated at great length in both Houses of Parliament, on an ongoing basis.
