Waveney MP Peter Aldous today invited local organisations to respond to a Government Task Force on Cutting Red Tape and Bureaucracy.

Aldous was responding to a letter from Nick Hurd MP, Minister for Civil Society and Mark Prisk MP, Minister of State for Business and Enterprise asking for input to the Task Force about the burdens which affect charities, social enterprises and voluntary organisations.

The Task Force is a commitment in the Cabinet Office Structural Reform Plan. Its purpose is to investigate and recommend measures to reduce the burdens on small organisations and it is a vital tool in achieving the Government’s aim to make it easier to run a charity, social enterprise or voluntary organisation.

Peter Aldous said:

“The Coalition Government are working hard to get rid of unecessary bureaucracy to make it easier to setup and run the small organisations that are so important to our local communities. I encourage any organisations who feel they have useful inputs to make to do so using the below email address. “

Contributions should be sent to red.tape.taskforce@cabinet-office.x.gsi.gov.uk . Those without access to email can write to Peter Aldous, House of Commons, Westminster, London, SW1A 0AA.
