Waveney MP Peter Aldous today invited input from his constituents ahead of a Private Members Bill on Daylight Saving, tabled by Rebecca Harris MP, to be debated in the House of Commons on 3rd December.

The Bill would require “the Secretary of State to conduct a cross-departmental analysis of the potential costs and benefits of advancing time by one hour for all, or part of, the year to require the Secretary of State to take certain action in the light of that analysis.".

Mr Aldous said:

“This is an important issue for the Waveney area where the tourist industry is so important and is likely to benefit from additional afternoon daylight hours. But I am keen to ensure that the broad range of views of my constituents are represented.”
