Waveney MP Peter Aldous today commented on the news that the Department of Education have agreed to release funding for the project development phase of a new Academy to replace Kirkley School in Lowestoft.

The funding will allow the Academies Enterprise Trust to develop plans to establish an Academy with the aim of opening on 1st September. The Academy will cater for pupils aged 11-16.

“This is excellent news for Kirkley. I look forward to working with Suffolk County Council and the Academies Enterprise Trust to ensure an academy that is focused on providing the best secondary education the area has ever seen.”
