19 December 2013

The Flood Alert issued by the Environment Agency for Lowestoft is for this evenings’ tide. The tide level will be much lower than it was on the 5 December and the Alert is not a warning of homes flooding. The Flood Alert simply means that there will be a high tide that may affect seafront areas such as promenades and any low lying footpaths and that people with businesses and organisations around the waterfront should take their normal precautions.
