Aldous encourages constituents to take part in remoteness survey

Waveney MP Peter Aldous encouraged Waveney constituents to take part in an Office of Fair Trading survey about living or running a business in a remote rural area, in particular:

  • the prices paid for goods and services
  • the range of products on offer
  • the quality of goods and services

This information will influence their work and help to develop ideas for the future. They are particularly keen to know:

  • If you have tried to do anything to improve your access to goods and services or the prices you pay
  • Any difficulties you have found in shopping around or trying to do things differently
  • What you think would help to make things better.

Mr Aldous said:

“People living in the Waveney area know all too well about the additional costs of living in a relatively remote area. This is not just about our rural areas but the fact that our area is remote from major cities and about transport links and the price of fuel. I would encourage those interested to respond so the voice of the Waveney area is heard.”
