Regional Growth Fund

Waveney MP Peter Aldous has urged local business to apply for Round 6 of the Regional Growth Fund, which has today opened for bids for a share of the £200 million available, to help them grow and create jobs.
Already £90 million of funding has been allocated to East of England 13 different bids, attracting £400 million of private investment and supporting 15,000 jobs.
The £3.2 billion fund supports projects using private sector investment to create jobs and growth.
Locally the Fund has already supported organisations such as the Anglia Growing Business Fund and New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership.
Mr. Aldous commented:
“This is a fantastic opportunity for businesses in Waveney to apply for funding to help them grow and create jobs.
“The Fund is already supporting 15,000 jobs and £400 million  of private investment in East of England with funding for local businesses like Anglia Growing Business Fund and New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership, and this new round will help businesses create even more.
“Creating more jobs by backing small businesses is a key part of the Conservatives’ long-term economic plan to secure a better and brighter future for Britain. Each new job this fund supports means another family with the security of a regular pay packet.”
