Speaking in a debate on fishing and leaving the EU, Peter Aldous calls on the Government to ensure that local fishermen and support industries can earn a fair living, that a sustainable fisheries management system is put in place and that benefits go to local people, local communities and local businesses.

Peter Aldous seeks an assurance from the Government that post-Brexit fishing quota will be fairly distributed to enable the revitalisation of the Lowestoft fishing industry; with local fishermen being able to earn enough for a fair living for themselves and to supply the local merchants and processors needed to support the industry.
