Waveney MP Peter Aldous today visited St. Mary's RC Primary School in Lowestoft to congratulate the winner of his Christmas Card Competition.

The competition was open to all primary school children in the constituency and invited children to design the front of Mr Aldous’ personal Christmas Card.

The winner is Megan Rochford, 9 years old from St Mary’s RCP Primary School, Kirkley Cliff, Lowestoft. Runners up are: Grace Kim, year 2, also from St. Mary’s School and Amy Helen Brown, 7 years old from St. Benets School, Beccles.

Megan will be invited by Mr Aldous to join him for tea and a tour of the House of Commons with friends or family. Both runners up received a small prize.

Mr Aldous said:

“My office was overwhelmed by over seventy excellent entries. I would like to thank all the children who made such a great effort in designing their cards. Deciding the winner and the runners up was very difficult, but I am very pleased to have such a nice card to be able to send this festive season. I look forward to welcoming Megan and her friends or family in the House of Commons next year.”
