On Tuesday, Waveney MP Peter Aldous welcomed Tourism Minister John Penrose MP to The Sunrise Coast Winter Tourism Conference 2010 at Pleasurewood Hills in Lowestoft.
The Minister initially met with key decisions makers from Waveney Tourist Forum’s Management Advisory Group (MAG) to discuss some of the challenges and opportunities for the area.
The Minister then addressed the main conference and spoke of the importance of promoting tourism both locally and nationally as well as discussing with attendees the role of the newly created Local Enterprise Partnership and the importance of transport infrastructure to the area.
During the day the Minister also visited local tourist attractions and historic points of interest.
