Peter Aldous Member of Parliament for Waveney last week attended the launch of Discover Lowestoft, an online campaign to promote business in Lowestoft.

On Thursday 28th May, Peter joined Lowestoft Vision – the Business Improvement District (BID) working to improve the town centre - on the seafront at the South Lifeguard station to raise awareness about the new marketing brand for Lowestoft, which offers information about businesses for visitors to the town.

The BID appointed Lowestoft-based marketing and design firm Graphitas to create a call to action, encouraging people to discover Lowestoft and use the town’s businesses, from big national chains to well-known independents like Godfreys.

Discover Lowestoft provides a destination website for the local community to find out about events, offers, services and attractions. www.discoverlowestoft.co.uk will become a portal visitors to the Lowestoft area. This is broken down into key themes of things to do, shopping, eating and drinking, events, places to stay and business. The site will also provide information on the seafront, Broads, parks and gardens, heritage and general information about the town.
