Lowestoft & Waveney Chamber Business Awards

Peter Aldous, who is sponsoring the Employer of the Year Award, is encouraging as many local businesses as possible to enter.

In Parliament Peter’s work has focused on energy policy, the future of the East Anglian fishing industry, support for small businesses, housing and local infrastructure projects. He has brought forward reforms to the park homes sector through the Mobile Homes Act to help protect often vulnerable and elderly residents. Peter’s constituency takes in the coastal town of Lowestoft, the most easterly point of the United Kingdom where urban regeneration is a key issue for Peter as a local MP.

This award recognises organisations that have their staff at the heart of their business, who have ensured that during this challenging time they have gone above and beyond to ensure their staff have been supported and kept informed and that inclusion is at the forefront of their values and company ethos.

It recognises those businesses that have created a stimulating and supportive work environment with opportunities for ALL staff to develop and progress, resulting in high staff satisfaction levels and a well-motivated, ambitious and diverse workforce. In particular the judges will look to demonstration of steps towards creating an inclusive and equal workforce.
