A healthy environment provides the resources needed for people to survive and live well, and is vital for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. But, as the UN recently warned, nature is declining rapidly, and this will have as much of an impact on humanity as climate change.

In 2020 key global agreements on biodiversity, sustainable development and climate change will be renewed. Environment and development NGOs alongside Members of Parliament are calling on the UK government to demonstrate it is serious about taking a truly sustainable approach to development through tackling poverty, climate change and biodiversity loss.
