Waveney MP Peter Aldous today commented on the news that Pontins leisure park in Pakefield has been placed in administration.
Ocean Parks which owns 5 parks including the Pakefield site will continue to trade and no redundancies will be made.
Mr Aldous said:
“It is sad news to hear that the company that owns the Pakefield site has been placed in administration, especially as planning permission has just been granted for a major refurbishment and expansion that would have created more jobs. I have written to the Administrators offering assistance to help them find a new owner. We must now hope that a prospective buyer with the necessary financial backing can be found as soon as possible to end the worry and uncertainty of employees. The site has incredible potential and should be seen as a good opportunity for prospective purchasers.”
