Waveney MP Peter Aldous today commented on the latest ONS unemployment figures which show six months of falling unemployment in Waveney amongst 16-64 year olds and amongst the 18-24 year old category.
Mr Aldous said:
“It is good news to see the number of unemployed people in Waveney falling over a 6 month period albeit by a relatively small number. Measures to reduce the country’s debt and encourage the private sector to grow are essential if we are to see this fall continue and for the country to return to growth. These are signs that the Government’s work to rebalance the economy is working and I look forward to working with local schools, colleges and businesses to get more people into work over the coming months.”
